A Triumphal Feeling

Flowers and friend.

Himself: Found three jobs to apply for. I just wish they could see and talk with him; he would get the job for sure then.

Herself: Got an amazing amount of stuff done. First the quilt last week, then yesterday finished the Plunge picture project and a first draft of a “Triffling” Poem.

Reading: Nada.

Balance: Eating two meals out…….Marion B is not done editing, but is in the home stretch.

There are days when even the small things seem triumphant.

It’s been years since I had a working CD Writer. They seem to need cosseting, nursing along, and just when you really want to struggle with the learning curve, they stop working. Amazingly, this piece of machinery actually worked with no learning curve needed yesterday.

Not only did I get all the Plunge Pictures transferred to a Snapfish album, but I managed to get them all dragged and dropped onto a CDRW without the writer collapsing around me. A double triumph.

In the meantime, and old friend from the first time around in college appeared in town from Salt Lake City. While the counter installation proceeded apace, we chatted, tore the world apart gently, and had a great visit. She is one of those special folks that I wish lived closer.

The counter went in, not with a rounded top, but with only one error and neatly fitting pieces…….unlike the original that was slap dashed into place. This morning the plumber comes to install the glorious new sink, and this afternoon, my very own union painter is painting the kitchen…white on white. Heaven indeed.

Thursday no poetry workshop….we meet granddaughter Beth and her mom at Balboa Park instead. Friday no move back in to the kitchen as I work at the thrift store. Maybe a little before or after working. The paint should be cured well by the time we get the house settled at last on Saturday.
