Just Like a Busby Berkley Musical

The conquering Hero shown here leaving San Diego on the Ryndam, 2009.

Himself: Swam and spent the day upstairs working with the old computer and moving his backup computer over to Georgettes space. He's very tired of herself at the moment.

Herself: Swam, sat down to work on the albums, and was a very frustrated person when I could build a page but not print. Puttered while he worked. Wrote bad poem about computers. Dinner was Quiche and salad. Cake later after trying to repair the truck clicker which she washed. Vista computer works. Eating over problems doesn't.

Reading: Number two in the Mitford series.

Balance: Found only this morning.

Dancing computers, that's been us. My new 32 bit computer is in the shop, and my old 32 bit computer is relegated to backup status this morning with one more virus scan running dancing around the viruses, Trojan Horses, and worms. The new Norton sees naught. We know this program isn't catching everything either. I'd just like to know why my computers were targeted.

The newspaper wrote about the virus problems this morning, and it makes me feel as if I am not alone.

G struggled all morning with the old/backup computer first to get Cure It to run then hours later to move his IBM Vista computer over to my desk and get it set up and working.

I struggled late in the afternoon to learn the basics of Vista feeling frustrated at the lack of user friendliness, intuitive access, and easy accessibility for many of the tools I used with XP.

"You have exceeded your quota of questions today," himself told me as we headed to the pool this morning. Only later in the morning was he able to add a, "He he he...." to that bald statement.

"I have all the jpg's from 2009 moved in to my new house, I have a template for my blogs, so what more do I need," I say. I don't add, I don't need any more viruses, worms, or Trojan Horses, thank you. It doesn't need saying aloud.

  1. I don't know how I got so behind on your posts.

Sorry about the viruses. I hope you get them sorted soon.

The flowers are really really beautiful.

  2. Our friends left this morning. I am closing down the house, washing and ironing, distributing plants with my friends, packing, sad to leave and eager to get back.

I hope you get the viruses sorted out.

  3. Thank you both for your notes. Computers are in the shop, and I have moved into one of G's computer. LOL

  4. Darn, Maggie! The pesky virus thing is so tedious and frustrating. It's like getting VD without getting to enjoy the sex. Pffft! Anyway, sending soothing mojo your way so both you and Himself can survive and thrive.

  5. My son is quite a wizard at PCs. Nevertheless, he seems to end up reformating his computers on a regular basis because even the anti-virus programs don't seem full proof. Hope G. manages to find his equilibrium soon. Poor fellow, questions can be tiring.

  6. Oh I breathe a sigh of relief everytime I hear about another virus and it didn't afflict me. I'm sure I've been lucky! Sorry about your problems though. (P.S. I loved the last sentence: Eating over problems doesn't [help]--to that I add, YUP!)

  7. P.S. I remember your lamenting from time to time--just as I have many times--how you're not cooking as enthusiastically as you once did! And you being a good cook, I thought of you when I was watching Julia and Julie, the new movie about Julia Child with Meryl Streep. I saw it and have been re-inspired (for a little while anyway); in fact I made a buttery-grilled baugette the next day for a Bruschetta-inspired lunch!
