Sitting

Sitting.

Himself: The interview was a bait and switch game with a major bank. He doesn’t want to be a broker. Now moving on to swimming and the daily job hunt.

Herself: Finding I shrink as he shrinks. Not good. Got everything moved over to the new computer. After I check for duplicates, I’ll put all but the most useful stuff into storage. Poetry group today. I will drive the lady who wants to leave early. Not a good poem today, but worth whacking at I believe.

Reading: Nothing.

Balance: Staying in the now. Staying ahead of Marta who cleans today.

I pause before getting out of chairs
considering
standing slowly
unbending
I pushing upward
only with support
then hang suspended in never never land.

At first I didn’t laugh about
this
couldn’t smile at all
now time has wiped the frown
and left me with polite repartee
filler
as my pauses blossom into time
and others pass me by
upright

busily
smiling
talking while moving on,
they leave me unfolding
into my own space.
