Imagine, Fifty Years!

The Boyden’s School Graduating class of 1960.

Himself: Pool, job hunt, meeting, camera store, am vets, dinner, computers….a good day.

Herself: Newspaper, Bee…who wants to change her name and get a face lift…change everything, pool, meeting, errands downstairs, camera store, Amvets where I found one suit, a simple dinner, discovered that Nutella goes well with crackers, and wrote.

Reading: Nothing.

Gratitude: The camera shop, G, and the pool.

The group that gathers for lunch or dinner every year grows smaller. There were only eight of us this year at lunch in the far nether regions of town. We do not always agree on all political matters. Perhaps we are an evenly matched group…four liberals and four staunch republicans. I like most of them despite their politics.

I would think wives and husbands wouldn’t count but here we are only four of us from Boyden’s discussing Mary’s death. She’s in the front row right next to my Nemisis Bob Brennan who also died.

Gin is hidden by her daughter there on the right, so I offer this delightful glimpse instead.

After fifty years of friendship, actually fifty-six years since I got there the first time in the summer of 1954, I must say we turned out to be a pretty good group after all.

  1. Long lasting precious true friendship in spite of philosophical differences is golden icing on the cake of life.

  2. What an amazing group to be meeting after all this time. Good for you!

  3. How cool!

I didn't fit in in high school and hated it!

  4. Glad you had a good time. My 50th reunion is in Texas in June. I am not going.

What a delight to get a note from you. Thanks for leaving one.
