Excitement

Those teeth are all mine. Not a crown to be seen. Georgette with Lynn and Don the painter at one of his openings. He’s obviously had it. 1983.

Drama: Incredible images from Iceland's volcano thanks to Yum Yum Cafe.

National Poetry Month: Marianne Moore (1887-1972), once considered one of the premier poets of the 20th century, her name has faded from memory a bit as we fall into the 21st century. Try this poem called “Baseball and Writing”…apropos to the season.

Himself: Applied for jobs, swam, looked for jobs, took me to the dentist, walked, baby sat me.

Herself: Worked on a new poem titled “Home” and it isn’t.

Reading: “All the Wiers of Pern.”

Gratitude: Post and temp in.

The whole focus of my day was one single tooth which can be seen clearly in both photographs…it’s that front one on the right.

I worked on a poem until it was time to head for the dentist’s office. The major problem is that the tooth broke off below the gum line…the reason that new dentist didn’t want to deal with me I am sure.

After two and a half hours of struggle with another major problem surfacing, a post and temporary crown were put in. The second major problem, much like that of the antibiotic Biaxin that I was taking for the Bronchitis that stopped working, was that the anesthetic Marcane no longer worked. I’m sure this dentist would like to see the last of me too.

Home and two Tylenol later, I was curled up with a book while G was upstairs looking for jobs.

Then he came downstairs waving a piece of paper.

“Wat’s that,” I asked.

The owner of that Mira Mesa software company had checked out all G’s compatriots at his last company, and he was invited in for an interview with the owner and board members. Just like with Lessa’s scholarship, initially I was very wary until it proved real. The Geeezer confirmed this and has an appointment for Wednesday Noon. Now I am too excited to hold still.

Who cares that my temporary filling tends toward the yellow on the spectrum.

Taking Duck once around the bay. The upper front are all
slightly crooked crowns now, 2008.
