North on Highway 1

In the morning, we took Highway 1 up the coast to the city. Stunning views. 2010.

Himself: Thursday: Day off, solitaire until almost 8, hit job search sites thru EDD - if they don’t see you, they cancel your unemployment, post blog, walk, eat out, photograph cars. Friday:

Herself: Thursday: Woke up grumpy. Worked on blog to finish posting trip, showed slide show, visited friends for dinner and walked the La Mesa car show. Friday: Swam in the cold, worked at the store, and hit a thrift store or two for a new suit.

Gratitude: That everyone had her as long as they did.

We puttered our way up the coast right next to the water most of the way. At one point, an older yellow VW snuck in on the road in front of us, and we followed it most of the way into San Francisco. Come along and enjoy the morning with us.

Mother and daughters, 2008.

Tomorrow we are attending the funeral of a much loved mother and grandmother. We have five grandkids in this loving family, and she was one of the grandmothers. Her daughter Ellie expressed on Facebook that, “they I lost their Mother and are heart-broken. She was our best friend and would do anything in the world for us. We miss her so much.”

Sunday we work a booth at the fair and the Geezer plans on eating too much before the evening meeting. Monday I may crash….one never knows.

  1. Wonderful clear road pics, presumably taken through the windshield. It must have been very clean.

    Saying goodbye is sad.

Love the "On the Road" photos. And I love the Pacific Hwy!
