He Got The Job!!!!!

Just for a moment, not withstanding the black on black, I querulously resemble my mother. 2009.

Yesterday and Today

My Babylonian Captivity: Do stop in and read Tugster's newest blog. For Tugster was captured in Iran when Iraq invaded.

Himself: Swam, interview and felt it went very well….second interview with this company, looked for jobs, took Herself to Frye’s, dinner was quiche and Caprese salad, Computer games. Tomorrow at 8, he has another interview with the HR person at this company. EDIT: He called HR at 8 this morning, and after a 45 minute interview, they offered him the same salary as he got before....he accepted. He has a job. Oh Hurrah!!!!!

Herself: The quilt blog too: Swam, printed out the few words, picked up Georganna, met with the ladies, home to G who was buoyed up about the interview, and he drove out to Frye’s where he got me a telephone headset for me. I’ve been pushing the phone into my ear in attempts to hear with such vigor that I infected my ear. Dinner. Computer, the new Dragon book, and all the other good stuff of life.

Gratitude: Two interviews and one tomorrow.

“Herself-the-shoppe-manager” grabbed me when I came into the store this afternoon. They had said I’d be modeling winter clothes then there was nothing for me.

“I have something for you,” Herself said. “Since you are loud and always filled with great enthusiasms, I’d like you to read the script for the Winter Fashion Show.”

“I thought those were passions,” I replied.

You could see the Geezer turning beet red and trying not to laugh out loud as he hid behind her.

So I will wear something black on black to fade into the background, and take my fading voice to new levels with things like, “Here comes Barbara wearing a two-piece, black wool Oscar de la Renta. Her shoes are by Ferragamo, the scarf by Olga. Notice the fine detailing on the purse by Liz Claiborne…..”

Can you hear me now?
