Home Again

Nothing. They could find nothing at all…..a glorious, best case solution suggested by the hospital Admitting doc. My arteries are clear, both my head and heart look good, not a bit of arrhythmia can be found, and it was a fascinating but expensive experience.

I’m home. I called all I should call but Dr. Jay. He called from the hospital waiting room, and I had a few moments of abject groveling. I think I called everyone else. I gave the hospital our dentist’s phone number and name, and the two connected. They are paying for a new partial. I talked to one of Marion’s sons….perhaps they will let me come see her.

Shortly I’ll be heading back downtown via G and bus for a caffeineless stress test. After three days of sitting on my now broadening rear, I’ll surely be panting again. I go downhill at an alarming rate, and my hip hurts like heck. But. I do have to keep reminding myself that a bone spur, arthritis, and cysts are nothing in comparison to another stroke or heart problems. Oh yes!!!

I’m home to delight, cards read by Don, and life moving on again as best it might. I can't tell you all how much I appreciated your notes. I can’t tell you how happy I am just to be home again.

  4. So here I am again...and I just wanted to point out again (I think I've said it before somewhere) that stress--which you've had a lot of lately--can really do numbers on us. So where do you go from here?

  5. Maggie, welcome home, dear. It must be nice to get a clean bill of health. Maybe it all is about the stress of the last year; G's job searching, friends ill and others sadly dying. No matter what, please promise to take gentle care.
