TMI Updates ***

0804: Ah, stress test, echocardiogram, MRI….it’s the morning schedule after eggs, whole wheat pancakes, oatmeal, more coffee, and milk. Did I mention that those are all on my allergy no-no list. I daringly ate the pancakes, and eggs….which were pretty good.

-----
0855: Nutrition comes by and I can discuss my allergies with them. Oh, Hurrah. They do not want me sitting here with hives. The case manager came by to discuss discharge stuff. That’s encouraging. G’s here with his laptop full of work.

-----
1533: I’m still waiting for the tests. Frankly, I gave up and took a walk. I had my messy port replaced, I read. It appears that the ER department got slammed…..yes, it was damp out there this morning. I know of one 4 car accident. All the docs have been and gone, but dear G has been here with me all day. He’ll head home before both NCIS’s.

-----
1842: Done with the clanking rumbling MRI. G and I think we will be here through tomorrow ...maybe.

  1. Glad you posted. I've been thinking about you.

Good for you with your hearty b-fast! At least you're in the right place if you have an allergic reaction.

One thing I did not mention in my blog that I should have: it's one thing to be civil and another to let people disrespect one. (Somehow I think you already know this. :)) So if that grumpy doctor sneers at you, ask him why he's so damn unhappy.

  2. I'll be watching for the next update. Have you ever known a cheerful cardiologist? I haven't.

Bob had a cardiologist once who was also the cardiologist for the zoo's gorilla. Apparently their hearts and human hearts are very similar.

Personally, I thought the gorilla and the doctor shared the same bad personality.

  3. Are the tests saying that you are well, or have they located the reason for your poor health? I am praying that it is just an infection that needs to be treated or something mundane. We need you back on your feet and in good health.

  4. This is my first visit to your blog, and, oh, I can relate to those Dr. visits. I love my primary, though. It's her advice that has kept me on track. Having lost my brother and my oldest son has also made me more careful about health issues.

I wish you the very best of both health and happiness. Take care.

  5. Thanks for keeping us up to date, was wondering...are you feeling better. Hoping for the mundane in diagnoses.

  6. This is the first chance I have had to check in. Take care, dear one. I hope you are well soon.

  7. I do hope you are O.K. and all those tests turn out to be negative; except the one positive result that says everything is in good shape and you just need some rest and some TLC...

    We're thinking of you.

  8. Mage, I didn't look at your blog for 2 days and I'm shocked to find you in the hospital. But I know how these things happen. I hope they find nothing much, but I think it becomes less likely as we get older. And keep in mind, my cardiologist is a drill sergeant; not much better than a gorilla. I had a lovely one, but didn't listen to him because I was in denial. Now I'm paying the price.
    Get out of there quickly.
