Lists

The Geezer at work at home, 2010.

Yesterday and Today

Himself: Managed to get all his estimates done while he was on the road. His boss called after dinner, and they tinkered with the new program until almost eight thirty PM.

Herself: with the quilt blog too: Imagine, got almost all her errands run. I didn’t quilt.

My Babylonian Captivity: November 1 through 7, 1990. Do stop in and read Tugster's experience as a human shield. He writes that, “ i was captured in kuwait (where i was teaching in the kuwaiti air force)….”

Lists. As the year slides to its close, I seem to be living by lists. I swam and took G’s dark suit to the cleaners. But when I took Aarons things to the Post Office to mail off to Afghanistan, I almost forgot to get gas and did forget to renew my library card…..written in half way down my day’s list.

Today I added the word….

VOTE!!!

…further down from the circled word “Quilt! My main goal today, besides quilting, is getting the sheets washed. They didn’t get done on Sunday….oh, shame on me, and they didn’t get done on Monday, double shame.

SHEETS!

Even bigger lettering than Vote.

Perhaps I need to look at my priorities today.

  1. Other than making sure you vote...nothing is a big priority.

  3. Good for you voting. I have a calendar with all appt.s in my purse and post-its with a daily list. I started it when I was a single working mom of two busy kids. Hooray for pen and paper. And washing machines.

  4. G sure works a hard and a lot. Whatever his new company is, they're getting a lot for their money. Glad you voted. I did too, but here in Utah my vote never counts. No, really! It just doesn't! But hard headed me just keeps on doing it. Kudos for your lists, 'cause lists work, even though I hate to make them.

  5. husband and I voted absentee a month ago because we thought we were going to be out of town...and we are not....but didn't have to go out on this cold morning to vote so it's a win...

  7. I voted and found out my new polling place is a church....with a labyrinth! Outdoors! Made of stone!

  8. Vote is crucial -- the others can be postponed, if need be.

  9. I've been doing sheets for the past two days, too! Don't you hate folding fitted sheets?

  10. I find I really need to make lists to remember things these days. The unfortunate thing is I often forget to check the list until it's too late!

Thank goodness I didn't need to put voting on my list since we did it by absentee ballot.
