Voiceless in San Diego

Upright but voiceless.

G had a great morning at the gym and came home singing. I was a veggie.

“You picked a great day to be sick,” he said putting on his uniform. “The heater is still out at the pool.”

When that kind man got home from work, he made a cup of soup and a real sliced chicken sandwich….with mayo and dill pickles. I knew I kept those pickles for a reason. Still no voice. Little pain in my sinus. I’m doing every single thing suggested.

I should be watching The Three Stooges….not Manny, Moe, and Jack but Curley, Moe, and Larry. Laughter heals. Instead, I am reading a hard, for my diseased head to struggle through, book on Speer, “His Battle with Truth.” thinking of OS while I reread whole pages when my brain won’t take any of it in.

Maybe today I need to have a backup book, a no brainer with laughter around every page.

  1. I hope you feel better by the time you read this. Do take it easy till everything heals. (A cough reflex can start you up again, even though everything else is cured!)

There is no way I could concentrate on that book if I were ill. I would pull some old favorite off the shelf.

  2. Take it easy, don't tax your brain, and get well very soon.

  3. I would build up my blog repertoire and read blogs all day long instead of some dull book. Take care of yourself!

  11. What a dear G is!!!!!

And go to YouTube for Larry Mo and Curley or Laurel and Hardy for laughs.

I always have 2-3 books going. One fiction; one non-fiction. Might I suggest Carl Hiaasen who is a real hoot?

    Feel better!!!!!!

  14. Cuddle up in a blankie with some hot tea or chocolate, and watch some old movies--Singing in the Rain, or Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, or even an old western.

Gotta find a way to make the time go by. Take a nap.

Take care of yourself. (seems that G is doing a good job of that, though)
