We're Back

Paddling out to catch that one good wave. 2011.

Yesterday and Today
Himself: Fuzzy

Herself: Semi-Fuzzy.

The air is quiet as the planes take off over the city instead of us. Cars and truck sounds are muffled as they pass us. Not a voice can be heard by the passing hoards of teens heading up the hill to the High School.

The Geezer has printed out his morning jobs, showered, and is almost ready to pack lunch. I’m posting a quick blog and heading to the shower myself. Life is resuming its normal rhythms of work and play and meetings. I’m not going to miss the virus, but I am going to miss the long, quiet hours even tho they were enforced.

Thousands crowd the cliffs to watch the winter sunset. 2011.

  1. Glad you all are up and about!

I've sat at a similar-looking rail in La Jolla mesmerized by that sunset.

  5. So glad your are better. We need mostly to rest and restore (and eat chicken soup) when we are down. Last year I visited a friend who has CFS and learned from her the luxury of a siesta. Each day rain or shine, energetic or drained she siestas from 1-2PM. As her guest, I took myself to a comfy window couch and siested away for an hour each day. I was amazed at what that daily break did for my spirits and energy. I haven't been able to fit it in to my back to normal at home shedule, but it's on my list!
