When Time Flies

The last painter and the Captain approachith.

Yesterday and Today
Himself: He who is always ready before me kept playing solitaire. Despite himself, we were only eight minutes late.

Herself: There were wonderful bagels and better than wonderful donuts, coffee, and juice for the painters. I will never be thin if I keep volunteering. The sun is out, the world is gorgeous, and I am folding laundry.

Everyone always complains that time moves too fast as one grows older, but I have proof it does.

We arrived only eight minutes late to find half the museum had been already been painted by the Kiwanis guys, and by the time The Painter had set up, they were reaching the end of the second side. Frankly, even with only some of the Kiwanis folks showing up, the paint was rolled on and cut in so fast that our work time was compressed to minutes.

See. Time does fly.

Above:The doors and windows will be painted a very dark grey soon. This little visual trick will greatly increase the size of the museum. Below: Late Painters, photo Copyright Captain Poolie and used without permission, 2011.

  1. Guess everyone came early. Better that way than people not showing up. Looks all very well organised.

  2. I'm sure the new paint makes the museum POP. Glad you had good snacks, good food, good laughs and good talks with the Capt.
