Out of Focus

It’s not a shot of a hazy day nor is it a blurred piece of minimalism. It’s out of focus.

I’m determined to take part in NoJoMo this year tho my thought processes seem dried up a bit. How I think is definitely tied to how I feel. Determined to work around stuck parts and fading humor, I may just stick photos up in lieu of words.

Speaking of photos, my camera made it to the photo shop yesterday thanks to the Great Gee-dini.

“The pictures are out of focus,” he told the counter person. “It’s a nice camera; if it worked right.”

She looked at what was on the screen. “It’s out of focus,” she agreed.

She took it to the expert in the back room. He too took pictures and agreed. “They’re out of focus.” They kept the camera and gave The Gee-dini a Zero receipt.

Here I had thought that perhaps I was out of focus. It’s nice to know I’m not.

Four days. NoJoMo, November journals month, was originally begun as an alternative to National Novel Writing Month, nanowrimo. I'm never ready to write a novel or finish the unfinished, but I should be able to put some small thing here daily. Are you ready……

  1. I've never participated in NoJoMo. This is the year I should do it. I haven't had much to say lately.

  2. Why is it always done in November, the beginning of one of the busiest months of the year? I did it once! That was quite enough for me. But you can do it. It'll be easy as consuming a piece of favorite cake for you! Go go go.

  5. Good luck with the camera. I love your photos.

You are not out of focus, just a bit sad I think. With good reason. Come to think of it, maybe that's how we register sadness. Dianne

  6. I never join NoJoMo because, for me, it's a no brainer. I've updated daily (with rare, rare exceptions) for nearly 12 years now!
