18 Movin On Up

Two previous style America’s Cup boats the “Abracadabra” and the “Stars and Stripes” for hire on San Diego Bay.

We have a half day together this morning. He wants to hit estate sales; I want to get the underpinnings for the scanning project up the stairs.

We have had breakfast and are now arguing over a note that must be sent. He’s stalling in people pleasing mode, and I am in a get it done and over mode. However we send off the note, it has to be sent.

There’s hunks of blue skies out there surrounded by wads of grey rain clouds. The last of the bay regattas for the America’s Cup will be held today and it looks like the Oracle boat will be going against the French. There may be no parking down by the bay, so I’m thinking I may end up setting up the scanning project instead.

With only ten days left of NoMoJo, I thought I would forward a message from my friend Kay for those who live in Washinton State. She writes:

"Obliterate the Empty Page" is co-sponsored by the Richard Hugo House, the Northwest Independent Editors Guild, the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

The winning book will be stocked at University Book Store, and the winner will receive 10 complimentary copies and be the featured writer at an author event next year. Participants who finish will be eligible for special pricing from University Book Store Press.

The University Book Store is hosting related events during November, including two evenings of "uninterrupted writing" for NaNoWriMo participants. "We'll have all of your writing needs: tables, power for your laptops, writing references, and coffee. Lots of coffee."
