27 Comedy of Errors

Once we found Aaron and his insurance company check, we came all the way home to find the only branch of his bank open on Saturdays. They wouldn’t release the money because he didn’t have enough in his account to cover the insurance check in case it bounced. Tuesday, they said.

We took him back to base….the long way. Miles of beautiful rolling hills much like my neighborhood when I was a kid. I thoroly enjoyed the hour long ride. We discovered there was a gate just a couple of hundred yards away from us. He hadn’t known. In minutes we were back on the freeway headed south after arranging to do this again next Saturday.

Costco did have the Zyrtec replacement as Cetirizine for sixteen dollars a year versus 36 over-the-counter per month. Jackpot. On the other side of the coin, I brought home chocolate muffins. Did I say that?

Late afternoon with a half decorated tree under my belt, the Geezer announced he needed more outside lights. Back to Tar-jay we went. By the time we left the store, it was pitch black and I felt eight-thirty-ish. The tree was still half done.

We are off this morning for the earliest showing of “Hugo.” The tree is still half done, the lights are half up, but I feel optimistic anyway.

  2. I'm looking forward to seeing your blue tree. I'm going to work on convincing Art to put ours up. He wants to wait to December 1st. Tsk. I'd like to go and see The Descendents with George Clooney. It's supposed to be good.

  3. How lovely! I want to know how you liked the film! I think we need to have dinner again to discuss it, don't you? Now that I am not coughing or leaking goo from my eyes. You'll be safe!

  4. I also look forward to seeing your blue tree. I wish the shows I wanted see were playing around here. Oh well, that is what happens when you live in a town that is this size.

  7. That's the best part of life...doing what you want when you want to do it. You will enjoy finishing the tree decor with that brief break in time.

  8. Banks make me crazy! Why is it always up to us to prove the check is good? From an insurance company, of all things! This is one of those things I just froth at the mouth over!

    How was Hugo?

  9. As well you should feel optimistic -- you got a lot done -- and you can finish all the rest at your own pace.
