5 Thinking Ahead

An aubergine front window at the store.

No one was home in my head yesterday.

I suppose that’s ok if you don’t mind not being home. I minded a lot.

I looked forward to working, I enjoyed sorting, and I enjoyed coming home a lot. I wiped the rain off the truck with a smile. Gotta take care of my ancient truck.

Whoops, only when I got upstairs did I notice that I forgot my seat cushion back at the store. I can’t work comfortably, go to meetings, or type on my own computer without the extra chair padding. I went back. While I was there, I took pictures and teasers of the upcoming stuff….the Holiday Special is almost here. I was supposed to do that the first time as one of my jobs is posting to the American Cancer Society’s Point Loma Discovery shop Facebook Page.

There was a little framed sampler quilt I’d been eyeing. I bought it. I went home. This time it wasn’t raining, so I didn’t have to wipe down the truck.

I discovered that I’d left the quilt sampler back at the shop. Yeah, I did that. So back to the store I went. Again. I know they all thought me crazy. I smiled, grabbed the piece, and ran for home.

I made it before it started raining again. Which it did. Pouring. Whipping winds, flying leaves, and dearest G out in the deluge.

Today will be cold but filled with double rainbows.

  1. That's a lot of return trips but you got your little sampler home safe and your truck had some adventures too!

  2. I haven't forgotten "things" yet, but sometimes I can't decide where to go or how to get there. I try not to drive around aimlessly.

  3. I gotta get over my pride and start taking a pillow to class. I am too old to sit in the same chairs as the 18-year olds. Dianne

  5. My issues always seem to end up with the calendar...like showing up a day early for the dentist last week! Oddly enough they had a cancellation and squeezed me in.

  6. All's well that ends well. I've had those days too. I think they call it Senior moments?
