A Blue Christmas

The Great Geezer decorated outside this year. We have blue and white LED’s across the front levels, and there’s one string around the front door and the balcony above it. For very little effort, we have an appalling amount of light. He’s very happy.

I nervously took the new/used camera to the Discovery shop yesterday, and every shot I took was in focus. It was very exciting to discover this.

Slowly things begin to come together here. The chair and cushions are due back today or tomorrow. The curtains are to be installed tomorrow. The bedroom only needs crown molding to be complete. At the rate we are going with our decorating, the house will be finished just by the time we are ready to sell.

So today I’ll take my not very good poem about scanning to the Poets Group. I’ll brave high winds, cold air, and a bad poem to see friends. Isn’t that really what it’s all about?

  1. Wowser, that's a magnificent light display. Is that shot with the new camera? Nice.

  2. The other comment box was better. This one is more time consuming. I love the blue light display! You two truly have the Xmas spirit. Meanwhile, our house remains dark.

  3. I've already told you I love blue -- that is gorgeous. Just don't play Elvis' "Blue Christmas." That's the one where the background music sounds like vacuum cleaners.

  4. I think your blue theme is very Elvisy. Maybe it would be overkill to play his song.

  6. Totally respect your comment on the wine drinking and I am so happy for you and your life now! Big pat on the back. We are putting out white lights on the eaves today. Not gonna look even close to how lovely your stuff is...so no photos!
