Family Sharing

Zoe Playing Angry Birds an G’s phone.

Zoe came up the stairs and insisted I sit down. So after great urging, I finally sat.

“Close your eyes,” Zoe said, Lessa Said, The Geezer told me. So I did.

A package was placed in my lap, Everybody came up the stairs, and I was a good gramma with my eyes shut.

“You can open the box now,” Lessa said.

And so I did.

“Hair?” I wondered what I needed with hair. Then I looked up.

There I was with my mouth dropped open so surprized I couldn’t say a thing. Lessa told me, “What do you get for the woman who has everything? She wanted me to cut my hair, so I did.” What a wonderful gift.

G downloaded Angry Birds onto his phone…so Zoe was a happy person.

Our neighbor, Shell, joined us, and we talked and ate and opened presents. You know how that goes.

Christmas Day was breakfast at Lessa’s. Oh, how I wish I had taken pictures of her picture perfect table. A side piece of a brass merry go round horse for Kay, and a lovely brass embossed plate brought Duck to the meal. She used Mother’s flowered Wedgewood desert plates, and they were just the right size for her table.

Fruit with goat cheese, bacon, sausage, hash browns, quiche, coffee, and lots of love. What more could be needed. Nothing at all. Zoe ran rings around us all with her new powered car, then later G and I drove off toward the water to see Bee and Mikey. Nope, they left to see her mom….perhaps they forgot we were coming. So we came home to bake a cake, nest together, I dozing in front of my computer.

Dinner was a ham sandwich…and that was a really good ham, and we took our last cake to the meeting with a smile.

Today we are off to see Tintin early at the mall. Perhaps later we will peek into the chaos of Macy’s or JCP to see if there’s a sweater or two in our sizes.

And a wonderful two days were had by all.
