I’m the half ribs and corn.

Now that was a high fat, high calorie, simply delicious birthday dinner, and he enjoyed every single bite. He couldn’t even eat it all.

Phil’s BBQ is our local favorite, and just this week results came out saying Phil’s was number four BBQ spot in the nation. Usually lines wrap around the building for lunch and dinner. Birthday folks can get in to the front of the line. Yesterday we were early and there was no line.

“What a waste of a birthday,” say the birthday boy in mock dismay.

“Wednesday and Thursday’s early, there are no lines,” said the counter person. “And you can come in up to a week before and a week after your birthday.”

We all laughed.

  2. It doesn't look delicious to me. We had ribs the other night which I had purchased pre-marinated from the store (yes, my husband loves them also) and it was too salty/sweet/covered in stuff for my taste. I guess I am lucky my body recognizes not healthy.

  3. So does that mean that you two will go back to the BBQ and use the "birthday first in line" option?

  4. None of that looks like it would qualify for Weight Watchers. Looks good, I'd like to have some.

  5. Some people celebrate birthday months. I think I will do it this year when I turn 70 and graduate from the university. Dianne

PS see you later this year, I hope.

  6. You can keep the ribs, just fork over those onion rings and you won't get hurt! :(
