Books, because I can.

More book pictures just because I can.

I confess.  I’m tired.  Reality won…and tho my stomach is happy now that I have cut out the vitamin D, I’m tired cause I’m short vitamin D.  Sometimes you just have to laugh.

So I’m the Wednesday book lady.  Rushing home to say goodbye to the Geezer left behind great gaps of empty shelving and piles of unpriced books at the store.  G’s plane was three hours late, so I got to say a lot of goodbyes.  Then he was stranded in the plane on the tarmac in Denver.  I felt very sorry for him.

Today I went back to work, and I got every single book out of the back room and on the shelves.  It was a most amazing thing.   And best of all, I didn’t eat a single cookie from the totally, absolutely, massively cookie laden table in the break room.  It was torture.  Absolute torture.

I’m a little thinner tho.

  2. Good for you! It is so hard not to eat those delicious treats.

I'm amazed by the work involved in your 'volunteer' job. They'll have a hard time finding another person who brings to the job the passion & love of books that you bring. Working with books is hard physical work.

  5. Wow, Vitamin D? I have been taking the little pill and having stomach issues. I thought it was just a bad flare up of GERD. I'll have to check this out.

Happy to hear you are back at work. Dianne
