A Bit of Bon Voyage

The Geezer with more luggage than we are taking this trip.

I’m beginning to look at my check off list.  He says he doesn’t use one, but I noted that he took mine from my hand and crossed off things he won’t bring.  Yes, my list is a three page, small type, thing that doesn’t fit “all.”

I certainly am not bringing twenty different kinds of makeup.  Nothing will cover the damage to my skin.  No hair dryer either.  I had my hair all cut off and there’s nothing left to dry.  Walking shoes.  I won’t be doing a lot of walking, but when I do walking shoes will be needed.   Remind me to polish them….they are really badly worn.

Underwear, pants, shirts, coats, and an umbrella be me.  Layers.  Meds too, come to think of it.

Just today life is awfully good.

  1. One of the best things about traveling with a companion is help with the luggage. Another of the best things is that someone will watch your luggage while you are in the ladies'.

  4. I carried my purse, Kindle and one carry-on bag, the smallest on the aircraft. I travel light.

  9. Have learned to travel really light with a few (admitedly expensive) wardrobe pieces of go anywhere, do anything fabric - walking shoes and one pair of otherwise shoes. Kindle, IPad, and meds in my purse. Good to go.

When my friends came last year from Germany, they traveled with one standard bag for the two of them...and they bragged and bragged about their EXOfficio (brand) underwear!

Have a wonderful trip...looking forward to pictures and stories.
