Lunch with a Friend

A tired visitor from Washingto DC.

Yesterday, I was still having side effects from the shot…running a temp and hyperactivity, so G kindly ran late to his job to take us to a pre shot planned lunch at “The Loving Hut.”  What a kind man.

We got the house tidy just in time, and Dianne from Washington arrived with a smile and put up with a hug from me.  We talked continually and enjoyably through the food which returned me to some semblance of normal.  Still talking, he dropped himself off at the museum, and I drove round town home the slow way.  From somewhere I managed to remember the history of the places we drove by, showing her the ballpark, the Gaslamp quarter, the Maritime Museum, and parts of the point.  I got her home just in time for her to be tired on the sofa before her delightful daughter in law picked her up.

We have made arrangements to have lunch in the food court of the Portrait Museum in Washington DC.

  • Himself:  Gotta get him away from his computers.
  • Herself:  Feeling pretty good today.  Airing big suitcase.
  • Reading:  Fodor’s Washing DC after finishing several mysteries.
  • Balance:  The inner quiet I feel today.

  4. She does look tired. I think the travel has worn her out a little.

  7. Perhaps we should select a time and place before you are away from a PC?
