It's Hard

It’s hard to go back to day to day life when the world around you bombards you with horror.  That’s what we all are doing.

Today I absolutely must go grocery shopping.  My proverbial cupboard is really bare.  That doesn’t mean I have forgotten about the children.  We went to a small gathering last night.  I ate three mints and a slice or two of wrap.  Thinking about the children the rest of my hunger vanished.  Tonight we volunteers meet at the Discovery Shop for a small dinner.  I noted that not many are participating this year.  Perhaps many of us are too old to bother.  Those who come will be thinking of the children, I know this.

If there was a life reset button, you bet I would set it back a week ago.  But in the midst of horror, life moves on.

  3. It's absolutely terrible and my heart remains broken. However, I want us to keep this in our thoughts because I want the politicians to know that we're not going to forget... we need to toughen our gun laws and that's that! We should have done it long ago... before it became too late.
