It’s a car or truck that rides low to the ground.
It’s an auto-centric part of the Hispanic community.
It’s a work of art too.
And as a final fillip, it’s a work of art that raises and
lowers itself, it bounces, and it tilts all due to the elaborate hydraulics
that are usually found in the trunk of a car or bed or a truck like these.
Keeping those on the east coast in my
thoughts.

Thanks for the explanation. Not quite what I was looking for, though. I like a car that I, a short woman, can get into without climbing and grabbing the "oh-hello" handle.
ReplyDeleteI did not know what a lowrider was until I read your post. Just assumed it was a pair of jeans or a motorcycle.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought it was when the top of my son's boxers showed over the waist of his jeans. :)
ReplyDeleteI think of motorcycles when I hear the word lowrider. Looking at these cars I can tell you they would not work for me. I'm too old to get down on my knees to get into a car. Coming out would be even worse. Not for me.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh... thank you for the explanation because you KNOW I needed it right. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe top one is extraordinary. That's what my bum feels like some days.
ReplyDeleteI thought it had to do with boys pants where you could see their b*** crack. Dianne
ReplyDeletei love that first lowrider!
