Marvelous
stuff up in the Home Arts section. I appreciate that they have plastic or glass
in front of the entries, but I couldn’t get a glare free shot.
This
appliqued quilt won best of the best….and it’s amazing.
When
they first began combining entries, I was very upset. Now days, I pass everything very slowly to
see as much as I can see.
You
knew I would like this one for the colors, but I also like it for the quality
of the work.
Matchsticks. Yes.
Another
appliqued quilt, another well-deserved blue ribbon.
I love this section.
I admire the men and women who make these crafts from sewing and
quilting, lace making, to ceramics and furniture decoration. That chair is certainly a winner in my mind.

Pretty quilts. I almost expected to see an old treadle Singer machine. 8)
ReplyDeleteYou're such a kid; my doctor says I can have blood drawn at home, which was a helluva lot simplelr.
Love the home-arts at our fair too. Usually there's a full table of women tatting. Beautiful but beyond me.
ReplyDeleteAre you having blood drawn for transfusion purposes? I love the quilts. The blue ribbon winner 6th from the top photo is my favorite. Love the appliques..especially the blue flower. Take care. Thinking about you. Love, Dianne
ReplyDeleteThose quilts put mine to shame.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilts! I'm so sorry you're having to go through all this for your surgery.
