Home at Eleven

The invoice has been paid, and I think I got my copay’s worth.  They set me up with a new, take home  walker and a 3-in-1 potty…I’ll leave those details to your imagination.  I’ve signed sheaves of papers, all of which spelled my last name wrong.  Now, as far as I know, they will let me lose into the world at eleven am.

Yes, I got spoiled here.  Yes, my incontinence has not been addressed yet…but it will be.  Yes, I will truly miss the hospital bed and having someone push me painlessly everywhere in a wheel chair.  Instead, you can imagine me climbing, step by step, up 14 stairs into my own home.  Home at eleven.

  1. Welcome home, dear. May those steps be doable. May G be able to cope with the situation.

  6. I will try to have a nice spice tea and biscuits waiting ;-). You are one your way...just be patient with yourself. By the way, how much do you charge to do interior decoration? My bedroom is a disaster! REALLY,not joking.

  9. I wish I could bake some cookies for you today. Have a nice trip home. I recall David had much joy at seeing our old homestead as his little dog ran out to greet him. Steps...you know about steps. You take them one at a time. Dianne
