Changes

Margot and Zoe after services.  2013.

I found church interesting.  Both G and I were confused by the service as it flew from single sheet to single sheet.  I gave up when I found I couldn’t follow either the hymns or much of anything else.  My brain has obviously taken a flying leap somewhere else.

Zoe did wonderfully even when splashed with water.

I found that I still retained all the responses from the 1928 edition of the book of common prayer.  That made me smile quietly.

We came home and took a break.  Later cracks in the kitchen got patched while I brought down red pillows and the red quilt.  We inch into winter colors here.  Later we learned that a beautiful friend in the program, Tiffany, born in 1970, died of a pulmonary embolism.  Knocked us over.  How ever could that have happened.

  1. We retain what we learned young. I remember being in the synagogue with my eldest daughter, who had, at that time, drawn away from religion. The kids in the Hebrew School were singing the morning service. Standing in the hall, my daughter was quietly singing along...

  5. Lovely photo.
Interesting, isn't it, how we retain those early memories. On the rare times I attend a church I can still join in singing the hymns, though I've not been a regular church attender for more than fifty years.
I'm so sorry about the death of your friend.

Zoe's so much older-seeming than the last pcture I saw.

  7. Zoe is adorable and your daughter looks great. I too retain much from the Anglican. Going back there soon. Love the women priests. Dianne

Sad to hear about your friend. She was so young.
