It’s been a beautiful week.
Blue skies. Brisk winds here at
the coast. Clear colors everywhere.
Last weekend the Great Geezer and I took a ride around
Mission Bay. When we go out for a drive,
we always discover acres of our local world that we have never seen. G had never been out to Quivera Basin where
the Lifeguard Headquarters are. I had
been only once despite having been with the Lifeguards pushing a broom for
almost eight years.
Yesterday I went with G to the Auto Show at the Convention
center. The brand new Toyota lifeguard
truck was one of the first things I saw.
Donated after this show. I’m a rather
rabid supporter of our local lifeguards, and this is a truly wonderful
gesture. I remember when we had only a
very few rusted out Fords.
I didn’t see any rust on either day. The rust seems all gone from my seams too.
Both my children worked as life guards when they were younger. It's not so easy as it seems. Sounds like you started your year happily.
