We worked the “December Nights” show in Balboa Park last
night. Right outside the main doorway
was a carny with rap and other sounds driving out the season. Sat there for four hours and watched for food
and drink to keep them away from the autos.
Got chewed out for letting water bottles get on the floor. If you can’t see them, they don’t exist.
The Great Geezer kept an eye out for kids manhandling the
cars and parents not taking care of the kids.
“Nooooooooooooo,” he says like a mean old bear eye to eye
with the kids. The kids believe him.
It was a lovely crisp night.
For the first time since I can remember, I walked well, stood well,
moved well, and felt free of the aches and pains that have been haunting me for
so long. Wonderful stuff.
So wonderful that you are having perfect health days! Congratulations and keep up your efforts to eat more healthily. Sounds like a great holiday evening event. Speaking of eating healthy, I am going to go make some cookies, but have to freeze half or hubby will eat ten a day!
ReplyDeleteDecember nights wasn't so bad this year. The crowds were well behaved for the most part.
ReplyDeleteThose days when all the aches and pains are less obvious are the best days aren't they? :)
ReplyDeleteOh that they happened every day!

Have I said that I really like those b&w postcards? So neat.
ReplyDeleteHealth problems are no fun especially near the holidays. I got another hip shot and while my walking is better, I caught a cold that has really hit hard. Taint one think tis another.
I really like that sketch above. You are talented.
ReplyDeleteAll of a sudden the word verification is on. I can't seem to turn it off and I apologize.
ReplyDeleteThat is a glorious card.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it magic when one is so in the moment the pain disappears.
I long for it to happen to a housebound friend but don't know where to start to make it happen.
What a gift to be pain free!
ReplyDeleteThe person who chewed you is going to get chewed.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Arizona. Memories are fading I fear. Some members of the younger generation are destined to fall in this generation. The young men from Central America cleaning my yard today will always find work. Love the card.
ReplyDeleteGood news about your body.
