A painter of ocean paintings he called “Horizon Lines”, Dons
work drew steady admiration. He was a
painters painter, and just as he was coming in to his own here in our town, he
moved. In Seattle his work changed, his palette
changed, and it took him years before he began coming in to his own again just before his death.
Many of my Don images are shrunk or damaged. Though small, this one captures the twinkle
in his eye.
Truly lovely! I will see you Thursday!
ReplyDeleteLovely fat flakes of snow out here.
ReplyDeleteYes, it does capture that twinkle beautifully.
