Renewed

Now today I got up on the right side of the bed.  It’s nice to start a day like that.

Of course, I didn’t want to go to the pool, but I did.  I’m practicing standing on one leg in the pool.  AARP reported that there’s a Japanese study which says standing on one leg for 20 seconds is a good sign of mental health.  If you can’t, perhaps you have had several small strokes.  I can’t.  So I practice in the pool.

Yesterday everything bothered me.  Today I am letting it go over my head.  It’s renewal time.  It’s the first day of Spring.  Big sale of Spring things at work.  New, light, renewed just for us.

It’s good to wake up on the right side of the bed.

  • Himself:  He’s working someone’s audit queue, and he’s grumpy.  Making bread and doing laundry.
  • Herself:  Good noon meeting.  Big spring sale at work.  Served Bubble and squeak for dinner…it was good.  Found three pair of denim pants that fit in my closet.  Buffed up Grumpy’s scratches from the ceiling falling in on him.
  • Reading:  Perry.
  • Balance:
  • Not on one foot.  lol

    1. Standing on one leg in the pool? Or out of the pool?

    2. I call that side of the bed "determination." Life just does not stand still for us and we have to move on. I ran on the elliptical, big deal for me. Now I am off to see if I can stand on one foot for 20 seconds.

    3. As long as everyone else in the pool stands still, I can stand on one leg, but if there is a current, I'm out of luck.

    5. Poolie....In or out, stand on one leg for 20 seconds. If you can't, that's a sign that you have had a small stroke.

    6. Sounds interesting. I could stand on one foot, but it must be my right foot. Good shoes help. Walking the dogs here. No more splashing in the pool with incontinent women for me.

    7. You asked if it snowed here the first day of spring. Technically yes, because three flakes fell. The rest was rain. I am so tired of media hyperbole.

    9. I have never been able to comfortably or easily stand on one foot. Come to think of it, I can't even find the right side of the bed. ;)
