Scattered Frustrations

Screen shot showing both sides not loading.

Three days ago, the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop/Point Loma Facebook page wouldn’t fully open for me.  If it won’t open, I can’t load pictures.  Yes, all my other pages opened just fine.  Yes too, it worked just fine for me at work.

I sent Facebook a note that said in part:  “We used three different computers and a lap top.  We used three different browsers, Kapersky, Malware, dump’t the history and the cookies, yet it still isn’t opening.”

Thursday night, the heat woke me and I started thinking.  I did let the boss know, and I’ve blasted facebook all three days.  Last night, after having only a slice of cake for dinner, I slept well.  Accepting you have done all you can plus sleeping well, is the best revenge even on computers.

  • Himself:  Has been holding my hands and helping lots.  Bought me the one real present I wanted for my birthday….what a dear guy.
  • Herself:  Celebrated with a tiny cake and candles at work.  Lots of singling.  Margot and Laka called.  Emailed.  Friends emailed and called.  You bet I am grateful.
  • Reading:  Nothing but will later today.
  • Gratitudes:  Feeling really good after 9 hours of sleep.

    1. Happy Birthday! Hope the computer situation straightens itself out. My son always tells me to turn off the computer, unplug the modem and the router, wait about 2 minutes, plug it all in again and hope!

    2. It sometimes just works itself out without reason and you never know what was wrong. Hopefully this week will be better. Glad you had such a nice birthday...belated wishes.

    3. Well Happy Birthday. September is birthday month around here. None of the kids remembered David on his birthday, so sad. He just corrected me and says Tmothy did. Connie called later. Says she was wrangling dogs and goats. Her 15 goats escaped and the dogs jumped the fence and went after them. Chaos. She says she's a real farm girl now!

    4. Happy Birthday, Mage!!! So glad you had some lovely moments to celebrate your birthday.

We are having such a problem trying to learn how to use our MacBook that it's driving us nuts. We're going to have to take the Apple class (for dummies?) so we can figure out how to use it properly.
