World AIDS Day 2015

The Continental Airlines Quilt block.

Today is World AIDS Day.  It’s not only a day of remembrance, but a day to give.  We are close to finding a vaccine for AIDS.

  • http://geeeee-zer.blogspot.com/>Himself:  He’s on his way north to work in the office today.  No, he’s not happy.
  • Herself:  Pool, work at home, putter, and try not to feel guilty.
  • Reading:  Francis.  The new Crais jumped from character to character but still was good.
  • Gratitudes:  Love the cold nights.  I sleep really well in the cold.

    1. It has been a long battle against Aids and good people have died. The battle is still on-going however. A vaccine will be a huge breakthrough. We live in hope!

    3. Progress against AIDs has been miraculous. I'm glad you are enjoying a spell of cooler weather and some peacefulness, even with the guilt.
A friend of mine used to say, "Show me a woman without guilt and I'll show you a man." I feel guilty on an average of, say, 1,000 times a day.

    4. This is one of so many possibilities for the day of giving. Stop with the guilt, already! Today is the first day of the rest of your life, so let's make it a happy guilt-free one.

    6. I sometimes wonder if Pharma companies truly seek cures for some medical diagnoses, or if providing medications to keep them under control is enough. Let's hope science finds cures for AIDS and numerous other diseases.
