The Kids and Us

Grandma Maudie with Margot standing and Milaka crawling.  The rug wore out, but the desk and chair are in my bedroom today.

Most of my photos are mostly uploaded now as are those of my daughters.  Living with a professional photographer at the time, I didn’t have any traditional baby pictures.  He discouraged me from taking pictures so what I have will have to do.  I dug these groupings up to watch them grow again.

On the front stoop, as mother would call it, of #20> Margot, Milaka, and Mage.  Their shoes were criminally too small, but I am wearing diamonds.

At the Cottage: Mage, Margot, Laka, and their half-brother Zali.

  3. What? A photographer discouraged you from taking pictures?

As much as I like to take more arty photos, the most meaningful ones are family snaps.

  4. Haven't seen Zali before. Great photos. All we need are a few photos. The rest is surplus. As I work on my family tree, I recall photos of my mom not in my possession. Wicked stepmother destroyed them. Dad suripticiously sent me moms right school photo and diploma, so I have that. Found more on FB. She was a regular in the personals in her home town newspaper. Even found my birth announcement Yeats after the failure moved South. One uncle stayed in the city and he thought I was a beautiful baby. Traveled all the way to Texas to see me. Oh you do evoke old memories!

  7. You are very mod in that second photo. What fun going back to that style! I am sorry you were discouraged from taking photos because, as we know, candid shots are the best.

  8. Awesome photos... I imagine that you learned a lot about photography and composition when you lived with that professional photographer. Your work is always so wonderful to see. And I have to say I especially like your pen and pencil drawings... fantastic stuff!

  9. Your hair in that middle photo is so glamorous. Too bad that the kids had to suffer, though.
