Food Holidays

It’s the time of year that I get in deep trouble.  The food holidays are upon us, and I love to eat.  It’s also NOJOMO again….November Journaling Month: A journal entry every day.  For those of us who migrated here from Open Diary, it’s an exciting time.  For you who aren’t NOJOMO fanatics, you will have to put up with me moaning about eating throughout the entire month.

For you see, I have no control.  None at all.  Last night I age five tiny packets of M&M’s and clearly wanted more.  Just wait…anything resembling whipped cream, chocolate, or a combination of those things…I eat.  The pumpkin pudding with crumbles and masses of whipped cream at Soup Plantation/Sweet Tomatoes is to die for.  My own Leaning Tower’s yell at me from memory.

Yes, it’s that time of year when food addicts struggle to not give in.  Weight Watcher’s call.  Overeaters Anonymous hovers.  TOPS knows you will join this coming week.  It’s really bad when you are not just a food addict but also a drug addict and alcoholic.   Maybe the pure terror of it all with help me lose weight.



                                                                    

  • Himself:  Gym, and another long day.  NCIS tonight.
  • Herself:  Cool in the pool.  Sewing on the weeds.  Both sets of outside pieces are the wrong sizes.  Dinner a chicken salad with celery and grapes.
  • 52 Week House Reorganization:  Nothing until the beginning of December.
  • Reading:  Evanovich: Wicked Business.
  • Gratitudes:  That I feel so well.

    2. Made it through Halloween on one candy bar. A miracle. Love that mixer, it's just like my Mom's. A ton of whipping cream got processed there. :)

    4. Umm, you aren't a FOOD addict. You might be addicted to sugar (likely) and grains (possible), but not ALL food. ;)

    5. It's all good ... except for pumpkin. For whatever reason I don't much like pumpkin, even though I am the only weirdo in the world like this.

    6. Keep a very small portion of holiday goodies and write in the diary when you are going to eat them. Otherwise freeze the rest or give them away. All that stuff you wrote about has me salivating.

    7. With a blood pressure test looming on Monday I am desperately trying to cut back. It is so hard, as you know.
