NoMoJo 2016

Early Hardbound Journals

My first journals were in small sketchbooks, now they live on assorted hard drives and discs.  My next goal is to find a home for all these falling apart journals.  I’ve sent off one letter and gotten no response.  The many years of journaling weigh on me, and I’d like to know this part of my life is safe somewhere.  Perhaps I need expert guidance with all this.

Most mornings I struggle a bit to find the words for the Shop Facebook page.  I’ve struggled a little to post here every day this month too.  I don’t think I’ve said anything particularly intellectual, caring, or even revealing.  Little personal, tho yesterday I gave away that I love Taco Tuesdays at the Brigantine.  Then again you knew that.  All in all, I have really enjoyed NoJoMo this year.

I’m taking a day or two off.  Saving the month’s entries, the pictures, all that stuff to my backup HD and thumb drive.  Smiling, stretching, and finishing the Christmas Cards.

  • Himself:  He’s still working long days.
  • Herself:  Book day today.  Put flannel sheets on too.
  • 52 Week House Reorganization:  Got rid of awful Christmas Cards.
  • Gratitudes:  That it will only be 42 out on the pool deck.

    2. I BOUGHT the cards, now I have to ADDRESS the cards. The second part is not very easy. We'll see if I can get them out early next week. Hope your days off help you get everything accomplished.

      1. LOL
I got rid of the really badly designed cards. I'm up to the G's now. Next is the Christmas letter via email...but I don't have anything to say this year. LOL

    3. Keeping a journal is something that I never managed. That is probably one reason why I blog and have been doing so for a long time. Even though it's not exactly a journal it is some sort of record of my life.

    4. I too have a pile of jounals no one will ever read, not even me. Stopped journaling when one of them became part of an EEO case. Dirty rotten lawyers. What I wrote worked against their client. Haha. Always document office stuff.

    5. Would your daughters like those journals?

      1. There are an appalling number of them. Sketchbooks, archival boxes, and now thumb drives...and all the discs that go with the above. LOL No, I don't think they would. I'd rather have them out at State.

    6. I got rid of all but one of my journals. Stuff I didn't want my kids to read. Now I can't seem to keep one at all. Goes along with my greatly reduced blog posts.

    7. I have a lot of my old journals too. Some got moldy here in Hawaii. Some are in a fire safe box and the rest here and there. My journal now is my blog.

    8. I still struggle with preserving stuff, but I also must be realistic in that many who follow me will not care! Those who will probably care are generations away.

    9. my only journalling is that I still love hand-written to do lists for work. I found a wonderful site, Jane's Agendas, and she did an amazing Nov. 16-Dec. 17 custom journal for me. :) Enjoy your days off!
