WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY

Hoar Frost

My mind a perfect blank
until the really darling
doctor
approached with a can
to freeze
a needle to poke
a sponge to sop the tears
of agony from the
destruction
of my acceptance
the pause
in my transient belief
the shot would be
painless.

(The word choices.)  I didn't use all of the words, but those I used I used passionately.

clan
hoary
pretend
sponge
destruction
bones
______________
blank
transient
indulge
train
gooseberries
painful

Mumblings is in charge of Words for Wednesday this month.

  1. Good for you. Very emotive. Hoping there was less pain and tears!

  3. Needles. Our lives are filled with needles. Probably why I am becoming an old curmudgeon.

  4. I haven't been stuck with a needle (other than when I'm sewing) in I don't know how long. Thankfully...
