SPRINGING GREEN

New Leaves.

March 7: Tuesday.  Dozing at my computer.  Later out to run an errand and felt liberated, light and fluffy too.  Can use my left hand without much pain…what a gift.

March 8: Wednesday.  The week is flying along.  I look up the writing class and see it is in the same place.  Wonderful.  A new full time manager has been hired at work…I hope they let me have the book job back.  Every day I follow bloggers that I have grown to care for.  Some are creaking slowly back to wellness, but others are silent.  I fear.  Friday I have stitches out.

March 9: Thursday.  Awake and worrying this morning.  Both G and I woke around 0330 this morning.  For Some reason my thoughts were with Dianne who isn’t doing at all well with pneumonia and heart difficulties.  Please keep her in your thoughts.  Hattie and my “Private” blogging friend have cancer.  G drove up north to make employee showing at the office.  When they want to show a new account around, all the folks who work at home, come in wearing their official shirts.  Make a showing.

March 10: Friday.  0717:  I get stitches out today.  G says that I get another cast, but I don’t know…I certainly hope not.  Outside the trees are sprouting tiny green leaves that give everyone hope.
1334:  Stitches outch…and instructions.  No I can’t use my thumb for anything.  No grasping, no grabbing, no shelving books either.  But I can type, I can take a quick shower all by myself, and I can drive again as soon as I am comfortable driving one handed.  Liberation….but for a thick and overly sturdy brace paid for by G.  If they hadn’t trusted me, I would have had a cast.  Now to rig up something to cover the brace and I’m back in the pool.

Life is no longer fully limited by my complete lack of hands.

  8. I think the waking early is to do with the season. I seem to be waking at 4am. so glad your hand is healing. I know only too well the frustrations of restricted movement. Patience is all.
