March 4: Saturday.
With arm in sling, we visited a friend, bank, two estate sales, lunch,
and a nap. It sounds adventuresome but
it wasn’t at all. Visiting the nap was
extra special. G found me a charming
pin. I felt positively liberated by it
all. Grocery shopping in the
evening. Wonderful.
March 5: A lazy day.
Himself cooked a pot roast….a bit dry but delicious. Got dressed in good but pull on clothes. Sunday night speakers meeting welcomed me
back enthusiastically. Powerful speaker.
March 6: Monday morning. He managed the gym before work at 0730 while
spoiling me with breakfast in bed. Books
haven’t arrived yet, but I am happily rereading Herriot’s “All Creatures Great
and Small.” Looking forward to Friday when
stitches come out of one hand…one hopes.
Sounds wonderful to me. You are on the downhill slide in this and should be getting everything normal soon.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week of healing! You are doing well by the sound of it! Yay!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are being well looked after and responding well to the tender loving care.
ReplyDeleteResting up while recovering is a good way to go and being pampered a nice return on all the pampering you have probably done over the years :) Always lovely to get breakfast in bed. Wishing you speedy healing.
ReplyDeleteNaps. It's about what I'm up to these days.
ReplyDeleteI so understand. Hugs at ya.
DeleteGlad you are home and taken care of, may you heal well and soon.
ReplyDeleteHerriot is delightful. Once upon a time, I read his books to Sue at bedtime. We have some his stories put into kids books.
ReplyDeleteI remember reading Herriot in my youth when I was feeling very sad. It helped. Did you know he is very popular in Russia? There was a recent exhibition in a Moscow museum celebrating his work. I hope your recovery continues and that everything will have been worth it.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon. Thanks for sharing. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
ReplyDeleteHealing thoughts to you ...
ReplyDeleteHello... I came via Dianne's blog and noticed your visits as I am. I too have been blogging since 2007. I am sorry about your health issues. Learning to deal with one hand would be challenging. .. Michelle
ReplyDeleteHope you are getting a little sunshine today. A little light is good.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have someone to help you cope. You set a great example to us all.
