Last year at Comic Com, we
both volunteered in the Portfolio Area.
Here, small businesses and large corporations like Disney or Scribner’s
take a tiny booth, and folks sign up and line up to have someone to look at
their work. One man said he came from Australia. “There’s nothing like this down there,” he
told me.
Art, music, drawing,
photography, scripts…they are all looked at fairly.
What a chance, and for us,
it was a wonderful way to give back.
Oh my gosh! What fun! All the way from Australia? Wow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great opportunity! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteyou bet.
DeleteHow cool ... who knows, one day you may be able to say, "I saw samples of their work before they became famous!"
ReplyDeleteCool, nice way to meet other creative people too.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great way to spend time volunteering. Imagine all the hope and eagerness of artists!
ReplyDeleteIt is never boring.
DeleteI hope we get to do this again this year
