ORTS AND OTHER FAMILIARS

The Queen and an attendant.

The days are hot.  I’m skipping my exercise class to sew.  There’s just under two weeks until the start of Comic Con.  I’m not ready.  For me, the dress is ostensibly done, but I don’t like the sleeve openings.  G is sewn and glued, and he is a very happy single person shooter from the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_(series)Fallout> post-apocalyptic computer game.  The costume has 1 on the back, and he will be wearing a Trump wig.

We are supposed to be having a Costume: Comic Con and Halloween event this week at the shop.  I posted two of my best costume shots on the shop Facebook page.  Someone took them down…a first.  I was upset, but now I am just wondering why.

I am digging in my old Comic Con photos while waiting to hear what happened.  I’m sewing on yards of apron and the hat today in 80 some degree temps.  At least the bobbin runs today.  One day I spent hours struggling with the machine until I changed the bobbin.  Maybe I should make a fresh Comic Con album on Facebook and forget the apron.

Some days are like that.   Other days are worth laughing about.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

  • Himself:  Comic Con starts on the 19th.  His costume is done, and he thanked me.  He has the 19th off.  The carpet cleaners are coming that day too.
  • Herself:  I really miss cut the apron, but I punt well.  Hat next  I made a paper pattern and that may work well.
  • Reading:  Fantasy:  Bishop.
  • Gratitude’s:  That laughter is a part of my new world.
