A HOLIDAY NIGHT IN THE PARK

Tonight we are off to the Automobile Museum to volunteer at the December Nights madness.  All the museums are open, and 20 thousand folks are expected.  We will dress warmly and punt.

Today I have to do something about my hair.  You wouldn’t believe how bad it is.  By Friday the 15th, the day of G’s FORMAL company party, I have to look elegant instead of like an old beach bum.

Tomorrow is the Discovery Shop lunch and George can come.  I have to make cookies for this.  Monday I see my pulmonary surgeon to make sure my graft is still working well.  The 6th I see the nutritionist.  I get terribly discouraged while trying to make my three diets work…so discouraged that I am gaining weight.  Not only is my hair bad, my weight is beyond bad.

  • Himself:  Off to volunteer on December Nights in Balboa Park at the AUTO Museum.
  • https://www.facebook.com/>Herself:>   Ditto.  Very sadly lost the life of fellow blogger Hattie.  I will miss her art as much as her critical thinking.
  • Reading:  A new to me author, Mark Pryor.  So far so good.
  • Captain Poolie:  Her leg in agony.  Back in the hospital.  Pain meds via her port, scans, blood tests et al.  First December nights she has ever missed.
  • Gratitude’s:  Granddaughter Zoe is on the honor roll at her school.  Proud grandparents here.

  1. Dieting is hard enough without having to balance more than one. Poor Poolie....fingers crossed for her that everything gets sorted out.

  2. It sounds like everything is bad right now. Except for Zoe! Hope things improve soon, Mage.

  3. When I was in cardiac rehab, I was moaning about the heart healthy diet when a new acquaintance said,
"Try balancing that with a diabetic diet." I shut up. I feel for you and hope the nutritionist finds a happy solution for you.
