VIEWS

Heading up the California coastline, 2017.

Walking in the pool this morning, I took a moment to look up as a jet roared overhead.  I floated comfortably as I watched contrails far overhead, parrots chatting among themselves, and crows talking in general.  Splashing sounds offered background noise to accompany the birds as the lap swimmers went back and forth.

We are both back in our routines.  Not that we want to be, mind you, but he is in the gym and I in the pool.  I feel so much better splashing my rows back and forth.  He’s slowly becoming less of himself.  I had to tease him last night about the gather’s around the waist of his pants.  Me…still gaining.  Getting rid of long unworn thin clothes.  There has to be some virtue in that.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
  • Himself:  Got plenty of work to do today.  Meeting tonight.
  • Herself:  Can’t change my Twitter password, can go grocery shopping, cleaning to the cleaners, me to the sewing machine and the washing machine.
  • Reading:  Reluctantly reading Box.
  • Watching:  Tonight Antiques Roadshow.
  • Gratitudes:  That my whole head feels better.

  1. You are certainly busy. Love that both of you are back in the better health routines. I do not sew anymore, have no patience.

  2. The coast photo stopped me for a second. I know that's CA and the ocean but somewhere I have snaps from driving up the the eastern end of the Columbia River Gorge that look peculiarly like this scene. No surf though ha ha.

  3. I love the photo; it looks like the top of a railroad car! Back on earth, good job on the gym.

  5. Speaking of flying things, I saw an osprey airplane today and was seriously wishing I had my big camera. It looked so cool. Good for you for swimming. I wish I could float. I sink.

    1. Thanks for admitting that -- I sink too! My aunt wouldn't believe me until she saw me in her swimming pool. She was totally shocked. LOL I'm not a water person at all!

  6. In my mind, I never pictured your pool being out in the open, but it sounds like it is.

  7. This is one of the beauties of blogging. We get to see parts of the country we normally wouldn't. Lovely view.
Keep up your splashing in the pool. Good for mind and body. Wish I had access to one.
