MASHED POTATOES

1996, Grandpa and dad Alex.

I want something with mashed potatoes for dinner.  Comfort food.

Of such small things is a day made.

I called the dentist about my way too big plate, I’m calling the oculist about glasses next as in how many changes of lenses will there be, and I keep checking on Max.  He may be off his C-Pap, but he is out of focus.  After lunch, I have to pick up my Shingles Vaccination and arrange to get the shot.  Groceries then cooking.  It’s simply glorious that I feel well enough to do all this.

George doesn’t.  Maybe I will nap with him later.

  • Himself:  He’s at work.  Not OK.  Got tickets to Bob Seger.
  • Myself:  Today: Laundry, Grocery shopping.  Tomorrow: Knee MRI.  Wednesday, dentist.
  • Photo:  I took this one.
  • Reading:  The last Brandsetter, and the Caroline Kennedy book of women’s poetry.
  • Gratitude’s:  That Alex is so pleased about Max’s birth.

  3. Shingles--you'll be happy when the shot is done and probably happier at never having shingles. Good job, not being an anti-vaxxer! Mashed potatoes, a bonus.

    1. I was told that the vaccine would only reduce the severity of the Shingles, not prevent them completely. I've had Shingles twice and don't really want them again. :/

    2. p.s. to Joanne Noragon -- I did get the Shingles vaccine; I figure something is better than nothing when it comes to dealing with Shingles.

  5. You do sound much more optimistic about getting things done. What relation? Are these yours or Geezers?

    1. Alex is my eldest daughter's first son. He's also the newest great-grandsons father. Geezer would be a great dad but has no kids.

  9. You baby boomers are literally the most evil generation to ever exist. You are all psychopaths. You destroyed your own children's future, destroyed the economy, and then you sit back and laugh smugly about it. I hope you boomers enjoy the retirement homes! LOL!!! I guess what I'm really trying to say is, can you baby boomers hurry up and fucking drop dead already?

  10. So glad you are feeling better. Keep going that direction. Very envious of your Bob Seger tickets. "Night Moves" is now my ear worm.
