ARANGEMENTS

Blue and Yellow.

The day is beautifully sunny and bright.  At noon, both G and I drove out to the bone doctor to discover that we didn’t need to be there.  He had to “request” the shots that he had been told to come in and get.  Me…the request for my surgery hadn’t arrived from the doc.  A Lack of communication all around.

Much to my relief, I’ve had an hour nap.  I’ve sent a note to the Doctor…dictated by my bone surgeon’s assistant.  I’ve had lunch, and I am whipping through this.  Later I will try to find that one poem which has driven someone to harass me rather nastily here.

The living room is finding its own level of comfort.  At the thrift store, I grabbed that new-to-me quilt before it could even be hung up.  That seven dollar purchase pulls the yellow and blue from the Laka painting down into the room.  Yes, sewn in China, but the colors and fabrics will do very nicely.  George said, “Not another quilt.”  He should be grateful that it was only seven bucks.

Milaka colors.

  • Himself:  Fragmented working.
  • Myself:  Tagging along…no laundry.  Now that all the pillows and bedding have been washed, I am coughing less.
  • Photo:  Mine.
  • Gratitude’s:  For all these years of sobriety.

  1. Intrigued by the chest that support your TV? Looks Chinese? Your rooms always emit a peacefulness. I am going to work on that for this living room...but not in blues. It has to be soft yellows and greens.

    1. It's maple. G's grandfather was interned in Colorado during WWI from the German side. He found this maple tree, and he dragged it home. It's a very German blanket chest. :)

  2. I has never crossed my mind to be grateful for habits given up and benefits gained. But yes, I am grateful for so many years of not smoking, both for the money spendable elsewhere, and improved health. Like climbing stairs.

    1. Oh yes, stairs. Breathing. I've only been not smoking for 12 years now, but I can really appreciate it too. And too, all the horrible things I did when I was drinking. LOL
