IT BEGINS

Not every day will have a doctor’s appointment tucked into a corner, but many do.  No one has discussed a nursing home with me, and I certainly am pleased.

Tuesday I can shelve some of the myriads of children’s books awaiting me.  Wednesday I have the Neurologist at 0930 and Dr. Bone at 1530.  Thursday the 4th, the eye doc staff measures something in my eyes.  Tuesday the 9th, I get my inner knee cleaned up.  Then 0850 Monday there is a knee post-op followed by a 1415 Tuesday Pre-op eye visit.  The right eye will be done on the 24th and a post-op on the 25th.  That’s three weeks.

I will love having a knee again.  I will adore being able to see clearly…tho the drops he gave me blur my whole world.  I will absolutely love having all this over with.

  1. At least you seem to be getting good care.
I have just been thinking lately that I could be due for 4 operations in the next few years.

  4. Oh Mage, I'm so sorry for all you're going through. I'll be thinking about you and hoping everything goes super easy and you'll be laughing about it all once it's done.

  6. Ha ha, seems the Mumbai hookers commented before me again:))
What a schedule you have lined up and hopefully, they will all put you right again. It is hard when our lives are so in the hands of the doctors but we must be grateful that we have that option. May you sail through these next procedures with ease and success.

  8. Can you baby boomers hurry up and fucking drop dead? Enjoy your retirement homes cause we younger people will not take care of you even if we wanted to, due to the shitty economy you boomers created. Do you boomers realize that the younger generation is simply waiting for you to fucking drop dead?

You are all going to end up in retirement homes and we all know that the elderly gets treated pretty badly in retirement homes. Well, that's what you get for ruining your own children's lives. Even if your children WANTED to take care of you, they couldn't, due to you boomers destroying the economy. So I hope you enjoy the retirement homes, boomer scum!

Enjoy going to hell, baby boomers!

  9. When I was having trouble with my eyes months ago it really started to depress me. I hated to drive. But when it was resolved with a new prescription I got my energy back. What I am trying to say is you are on the downside now, but once this is behind you, it will all be warmer and more fun. Keep the faith.
