MORE OF THE SAME

1967

It was more of the same this morning.   I had great trouble staying awake while G leapt up and went to work at 6.  Finally G and I were off to the heart doctor’s office.  They called me three times yesterday to change my appointment time.  We showed up at 1115.  Yes the doctor chewed me out until I explained about the calls and time changes.

It wasn’t out fault that we didn’t show up at 0915, or even 1015.  He wanted an ultrasound done before he saw me.  That obviously wouldn’t work.  He asked questions and sent me off for an ultrasound.  Fascinating stuff; culminating at the left ventricle.  The doctor will call with the results.

We have been exploring our neighborhood foods.  After the Doctor, the Brown Bagger was today/s tidbit.  Tiny little Spot.  Two very fit, grey haired men ran the kitchen.  G had a Calamari Sandwich and a wonderful cookie.  I had a half a sandwich and a really fresh salad.  We will both go there again.  Ditto last nights exploration at Voltaire “something.”  That was killer good…right in the middle of surf city.

I’m never going to get thin again this way.

  1. Laura was not allowed to smile for her passport photo, and had to take off her glasses. I guess times change.

  5. G lived overseas...now I vaguely remember you writing that. Was his dad/mom in the military? I have to get a blood test and go to the dentist and I am really doing an A+ job of procrastinating.

    1. George grew up overseas mostly in Pakistan. Yeah, both of us have to stop procrastinating. LOL

  6. Good grief! How terrible that you were being chewed out about the schedule changes! And yes, George was/is a cutie.
