SLEEPING IN

Life is pretty darned good these days.  I can’t sleep well or see well, but once I get going I’m good.

Some of life requires a sense of humor.  The Sears washing machine man said the part would arrive shortly.  It hasn’t.  The washer sat there full of soapy water that turned black and stank.  George was brave and bailed it out then poured at least two cups of bleach in.  The smell is vastly better now.  We check for the part twice a day.

G has been letting me sleep in lately.  He’s the one with the really bad knee.  He should be sleeping in but isn’t.  The insurance company turned down our request for the shots.  It looks like he will be getting a new knee.

George wore black last night.  He never wears all black, and it looked very good on him.  I wore browns.  I have no memory of wearing brown before.  The pants were from Ross, the shirt and the sweater, a light and a dark brown, were from the Cancer Society, and the shoes were from Target.  They were a nice, rich light brown.  Deep in my purse container was a brown purse that would match….about 1955….estate sale.  Cheap me.  It was like dressing your favorite paper doll…here an item and there an item.  Fun.

  3. Last night, I might have slept for almost 8 hours. This happens once or twice a year. Of course, there were some fitful times in there, but still. Glads for your sleep and wishes for George.
