Crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a 1930s Airliner

  1. I was poor and could not travel until I was 23. I do not think I even knew anyone who had flown on a plane!

  2. After I signed up for the army, they flew us cross country. The first leg was in a Connie, that broke down for the longest period in Texas, and the second leg up the coast was a DC3. I sneezed all the way to Alabama because of the dusty plush upholstery. LOL

  3. Yikes and I thought today's airplanes scared me. Seems simple though compared to today.
Hope all is going well with you.
